In Kerala, eminent writer M.T.Vasudevan Nair has been conferred the highest literary award of the state, Ezhuthachan Puraskaram for 2011 by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday.Winner of Gyanpeeth Award in 1995 and Padmabhooshan in 2005, M.T.Vasudevan Nair has almost all prominent literary awards to his credit. His well-crafted novels and short stories in Malayalam are noted for the classic portrayal of human conditions.Many of his works have been translated into several Indian and foreign languages. As an eminent film maker M.T.Vasudevan Nair has also bagged several national and state awards.
