Union Minister of Shipping G K Vasan has urged the protesters to allow the operation of Koodankulam Nuclear power plant considering the acute power shortage situation in Tamil Nadu. Speaking to reporters in Tiruchirapalli today, he urged the protesters to withdraw their protests against the nuclear power plant. The Minister asked the Tamil Nadu government to co-operate with Centre to start power generation in the nuclear power plant.
