Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Nirmala Sitharaman said, the government has taken a number of steps in the last one year to ease doing business in the country. In an exclusive interview to All India Radio, she said government wants the States to work with the Centre to ensure that the whole process of single window system in the clearance of projects is simplified.Mrs. Sitharaman said that the Centre is working closely with States to reap the benefits from 'Make in India' Initiative. The Minister said, Government is of the opinion that manufacturing sector can create a large number of employment. On the foreign trade front, Mrs. Sitharaman said her ministry is looking at export opportunities beyond traditional markets.
