Due to the deficient monsoon rainfall last year, various states in the country are likely to suffer from inadequacy of drinking water supply. According to the Department of Drinking Water Supply, DoDWS, the states of Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Assam, Orissa, Gujarat, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Jammu&Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh will face the crunch. However, necessary measures have been taken by the States and the DoDWS to tackle the problem.<br/>
