Various parts of northern India continue to reel under coldwave conditions. Minimum temperatures in several parts of Punjab and Haryana remained several notches below normal. <br/><br/>Adampur in Jalandhar was the coldest place in the region with a low of 2.2 degrees Celsius. Chandigarh shivered at a minimum of 5.1 degrees Celsius. <br/><br/>In Punjab, Amritsar's minimum temperature settled at 4.6 degrees Celsius, while Ludhiana remained at 4.7 and Patiala at 5.6 degrees Celsius.<br/><br/>In Bihar, the weatherman has warned of severe cold conditions prevailing in the next 48 hours in many parts. Bhagalpur recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 4.6 degrees celsius on Saturday. Patna recorded a minimum temperature of 6.3 degree celsius while it was 7 degree celsius in Purnea, and in Gaya, the minimum was 7.7 degrees.<br/><br/>In Delhi, it was a cold and foggy morning with the mercury dipping two notches below the normal. With the visibility recorded at 400 metres in the early hours, the minimum temperature was recorded 5.5 degrees Celsius. <br/>'<br/>Rajasthan got a slight respite from severe cold with the night temperatures recording between two to three degrees Celsius above normal due to a western disturbance. <br/><br/>Sriganganagar was the coldest place with a minimum temperature of 3.4 degrees Celsius, while Churu 5.1, Pilani 5.5, Sikar 7.5 and Ajmer recorded the minimum temperatures at 9.4.<br/><br/>In Jammu and Kashmir, the minimum temperature in Leh town plummeted several degrees as the cold wave tightened its grip in Kashmir Valley, where the mercury was recorded below the freezing point at all weather monitoring stations. <br/><br/>Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of minus 4.6 degrees Celsius – down from minus 3.2 – the city had experienced a night before.
