In Maharashtra, leaders from both ruling and opposition parties are visiting the rain affected areas in western parts of the state. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is on a visit to Solapur district, whereas, Nationalist Congress Party president, Sharad Pawar is on a visit to Osmanabad. Leader of the Opposition in legislative assembly Devendra Fadnavis has begun his three-day visit to Pune, Solapur and Osmanabad disticts to assess the damage and losses caused by heavy rains.
