Both the Houses of Parliament have been adjourned for one hour till noon today on different issues. As the Lok Sabha met for the day, BJD members trooped into the well, demanding a financial package and a special category status for Odisha. The Left parties also rushed to the well demanding a CBI enquiry into the multi-crore rupee chit fund scam in West Bengal. Congress members from Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh were seen demanding a separate state . The agitating members were shouting slogans in support of their demands, forcing Speaker Meira Kumar to adjourn the House for an hour.
The Rajya Sabha also witnessed noisy scenes as the House met for the day. BJP members trooped into the well demanding the Prime Minister's resignation over the coal blocks allocation issue. Samajwadi Party members also rushed into the well, protesting against the frisking of one of their party colleagues in the US. They were also seen displaying newspapers, which was objected to by Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari. As the noisy scenes continued, the House was adjourned till noon.
