In Goa a number of events have been planed during the next three months as part of the Eighth BRICS Summit scheduled to be held in mid October this year. <br/><br/>In all twelve events will be held in Goa between August to October 2016. The Summit of the heads pf Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa –BRICS– is to take place under India's Chairmanship. <br/><br/>There will be meetings between various functionaries from BRICS nations including secretaries, Environment Ministers, Finance Ministers beginning from August 28. BRICS Academic Forum will be held in Goa during 19 and 22 September. <br/> <br/>A day prior to the summit– on October 14th– Central Bank Governors of the BRICS countries and the Working Group of BRICS Development Banks will hold their meetings in Goa. A workshop on Export Credit will also be held on the same day. <br/><br/>On the first day of the Summit — on 15th October–BRICS financial forum, BRICS Business Council and Annual Meeting of BRICS Inter bank Cooperation Mechanism will be held in Goa. Meeting of the Heads of the BRICS Development Bank with NDB will be held during the Summit. <br/><br/>BRICS business Council interaction with heads of the BRICS countries will be held on the next and last day of the Summit. <br/><br/>An Under-17 years Football Tournament has also been organised in Goa on the same day.
