Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Vankaiah Naidu has denied charges that the Centre is trying to impose Hindi on the people of non-Hindi speaking people. <br/><br/>Responding to media queries on the sidelilnes of a convocation function in Chennai, he said the same linguistic policy that existed during the period of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru continues even now. Though he advocated learning Hindi in the personal interests of the public, he said it would not be forced on anyone. <br/><br/>When asked about the appointment of a full-time Governor for Tamil Nadu, he said it would be made at the earliest.
