Rendition of Vandemataram in a fusion of western and Indian classical music styles will be the highlight of today's Beating the Retreat ceremony which marks the end of Republic Day celebrations.

Several bands from the Army, Navy and Air Force will play various military tunes at the ceremony which will be held in Vijay Chowk, set against the backdrop of the Raisina Hills.

Elaborate security and traffic arrangements have been made in the area. Vijay Chowk will remain closed for general traffic between 4 pm and 9.30 pm today.
