In Kashmir Valley, one person died and five others injured in violence and clashes with the security forces in Anantnag town today.Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abadullah has asked the civil and police administration to have close liaison with the prominent citizens and representatives of political, religious and social organisations for maintenance of peace.He reviewed security situation in Jammu, Rajouri and Poonch districts at a meeting in Jammu on Friday. Omar, who also reviewed the development scenario with senior officers, issued instructions to the executing agencies to speed up the pace of ongoing works.Earlier, the Police said the incident occurred as the funeral procession of a youth who had drowned four days ago during protests, turned violent.People indulged in stone pelting and attacked residential house of a political leader. The security forces had to open fire.Curfew continues in Srinagar and all other towns of the valley and due to continuous curfew since September 12, people are facing many hardships.
