validating demand assessment at State level is critical component for success of PMAY: Naidu

Minister for Housing and Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu has said that completing and validating the demand assessment at the State level is a critical component for the success of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, PMAY. <br/><br/>Addressing a National Consultation on PMAY (Urban) in New Delhi today, Mr Naidu said states have big role to play as they are executors of the scheme. <br/>He hoped that the States will notify the rules soon and establish the Regulatory Authorities and Appellate Tribunal from 1st May this year. <br/><br/>Mr Naidu said, all States must have a robust institutional arrangement at the Mission Director level who can tackle inter-departmental issues. He said, Housing for All is the Prime Minister's vision and guiding force behind PMAY. Mr Naidu said, the basic philosophy is to make life easy for the poor and the honest individual. <br/> <br/>Speaking on the occasion, CEO of NITI Aayog Amitabh Kant shared his thoughts on the importance of PMAY (Urban) and technology in the construction of houses. He said, use of latest technology in construction of houses is the need of the hour.<br/>
