Vaccination drive to prevent Japanese Encephalitis postponed indefinitely in UP

In Uttar Pradesh, the vaccination drive to prevent Japanese Encephalitis has been posponed indefinitely and the vaccine vials have been sent back to the state headquarters. The Chief Medical Officer of Gorakhpur district R.N. Mishra told AIR Gorakhpur correspondent that the future strategy for vaccination would be made on the basis of decision taken at the state level. Our Gorakhpur correspondent says that a large chunk of vaccine was found unusable by the experts. The vaccination drive was to begin from today in eight blocks of Gorakhpur, Maharajganj, Deoria and Kushinagar districts.<br/>
