V.Prez Venkaiah Naidu Addresses National Conference on Tuberculosis; stressed on intake of nutrition to fight TB

<span style="color: #222222;">Vice President Venkaiah Naidu today said that public participation is vital to eliminate TB by 2025. He said, all stakeholders have to come together in order to achieve this target. Addressing a National Conference on Tuberculosis, TB in New Delhi today, Mr Naidu said, a&nbsp;nation can defeat the disease with determination, conviction, and courage. He said, government has taken several initiatives in this regard. Vice President stressed that nutrition is very important in this fight against TB.<br />”<br />”Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has stressed the need for collective efforts to eliminate TB by 2025. He said, there are more than 25 lakh TB patients in the country right now and every year around four lakh people die due to the disease. Mr. Mandaviya said, 65 percent of the TB patients are in the age group of 25 to 55 years. He highlighted the importance of identifying and curing TB patients.</span><br />
