V Prez to raise issue of cross border terrorism with Hungary and Algeria

Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari will raise with Hungary and Algeria the issue of cross border terrorism affecting India during his four day visit to the two countries starting today. In the first leg of his visit, Mr Ansari will reach Hungary's capital Budapest this evening. Briefing media in New Delhi, Secretary West Sujata Mehta said that the issue of cross border terrorism will figure prominently in the talks with the leaders of the two countries. <br/><br/>She said, during the visit, Mr Ansari will have bilateral meetings with Presidents of Hungary and Algeria and Prime Minister of Hungary.<br/><br/>An agreement with Hungary for cooperation in the field of water resources, including innovations in irrigation technology is likely to be inked during the visit. <br/><br/>Ms Mehta said, the high-level visit to Hungary comes after more than two decades when the then President Shankar Dayal Sharma had visited the central European country in 1993. She said, Algeria's President Abdelaziz Bouteflika was the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations in 2001.
