Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has greeted National Girl Child Day today. In a tweet, Mr Naidu asked everyone to resolve to empower the girl children with education, equal opportunities, adequate nutrition by ensuring a safe environment for them to make the best use of their capabilities.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Prime Minister, Narendra Modi also said National Girl Child Day is an occasion to reiterate our commitment and further strengthen ongoing efforts to empower the girl child. In a series of tweets, he said, it is also a day to celebrate the exemplary accomplishments of the girl child in different fields. Mr Modi added that in every development initiative undertaken by the government, it accords immense priority to empowering the girl child and strengthening our Nari Shakti. The Prime Minister said, the Center's focus is on ensuring dignity as well as opportunities to the girl child.</span><br />
