In a message, Mr Birla said, Lord Mahavir, the 24th Tirthankara, showed to humanity the way to live with non-violence. He said, along with the message of live and let live, Lord Mahavir taught all the values like forgiveness, compassion, love and humility. The Lok Sabha Speaker added that Lord Mahavir preached that the service of the poor and the welfare of the downtrodden should be the aim and objective of everyone's life.<br />'' <br />'' On this occasion, Mr Birla hoped that fellow citizens would imbibe the thoughts of Lord Mahavir in their daily life and convey the thoughts of Lord Mahavir Swami to the masses, to ensure that society receives tolerance, compassion, and love.
