Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s office, V. Narayansamy has said that the first unit of the 2000 MW Kudankulam nuclear power plant will be commissioned in two months time. Speaking to newsmen in Chennai today, Mr. Narayansamy said, the second unit of the Plant is likely to be commissioned in the next four months. He said, the Prime Minister is looking into Tamil Nadu’s demand for allocation to itself of the entire power to be generated from Kudankulam. Mr Narayanasamy said, he will also request the Prime minister to consider the demand, as he was aware of the acute power shortage in the state
