The Minister of State in PM's Office, Mr.V.Narayanasamy of Congress, Mr. R.Radhakrishnan of ruling N.R Congress and AMH Nazeem of DMK are among the candidates, who filed their nominations today for the lone Pudhucherry Lok Sabha seat. They submitted their papers to the District Collector Mr.S.B Deepak Kumar, who is also the Returning Officer.

The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) candidate Mr.RKR Anandaraman also filed his papers today, the last day for filing the nomination.
Mr.M.V.Omalingam of AIADMK and Mr.R.Viswanathan of CPI had already filed their papers. A total 23 candidates including 13 independents have filed their papers so far in the Union Territory. Polling will take place on 24th of this month.
