V K Singh calls for frequent public recognition of civil servants

<span style="color: #222222;">Minister of State for Defence, General V.K. Singh has called for frequent public recognition of civil servants who give their best in service.  </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Presenting awards to recipients selected from amongst administrators, police officers and revenue officials in New Delhi today, he said recognition boosts their morale to give their best to the country. They have to stand firm against all kinds of pressures coming from different quarters even though most of them have to go unrecognised, he added.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking on the occasion, Tourism Minister Alphons Kannanthanam recalled his experience in the Indian Administrative Service. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, he had to often pay for his initiatives. But upright bureaucrats and police officers have nothing to fear as long as they perform their duties honestly and to the best of their abilities. The award function was organised by a private organisation.</span><br />''
