They have to stand firm against all kinds of pressures coming from different quarters even though most of them have to go unrecognised, he added.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking on the occasion, Tourism Minister Alphons Kannanthanam recalled his experience in the Indian Administrative Service. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, he had to often pay for his initiatives. But upright bureaucrats and police officers have nothing to fear as long as they perform their duties honestly and to the best of their abilities.
