<span style="color: #222222;">Till yesterday, a total of 165 total nominations have been filed by candidates in Uttrarakhand for the upcoming 2022 Vidhan Sabha elections, scheduled to be held on 14th February. According to the Chief Electoral Officer of Uttarakhand, on the second day of nominations on 25th January, 123 nominations were filed, which included 47 from National Political parties including 28 from BJP, 5 from BSP, 7 from INC, 4 from CPI, 3 from CPI (M). Nominations filed also included 55 from state parties with 25 nominations filed by Aam Aadmi Party, &nbsp;10 nominations filed by UKD, 4 from PPI (Democratic), 3 from Nyaydharamsabha, &nbsp;3 by Samajwadi Party, among others. 21 nominations were filed by Independents. A total of 30 nomination papers were sold for 11&nbsp; Vidhan sabha&nbsp;constituencies yesterday.<br />'' <br />'' Political heavyweights who filed their nominations on the second day included, BJP state chief Madan Kaushik, incumbent Cabinet Minister Yatishwaranand, Umesh Sharma Kau from Raipur. The notification was issued on 21st January.&nbsp; The final date for filing nomination papers is 28 January, while candidates can withdraw their nominations by 31 January, as per the EC. The date for scrutiny of the nomination papers is 29 January. The results of the Uttarakhand polls will be announced by EC on 10 March.</span>
