In Uttarakhand, campaigning for 70 Assembly seats is in full swing amid clear weather reported across the state. Star campaigners of the Congress, the BJP and other political parties have addressed number of election rallies in the state today.AIR correspondent reports that UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi in Almora, Chief Minister of Delhi Sheela Dixit in Rishikesh and Former National President of BJP Murali Manohar Joshi in Dehradun have addressed the election meetings. UPA Chairperson Mrs. Gandhi alleged that the BJP government has ignored the infrastructural developmental works which were carried out by previous congress government in the state. She also alleged that the state BJP government has not properly used the Centre’s funds and failed in implementing the Central Schemes and programmes in the state.On the other hand alleging involvement of corruption on cabinet ministers SM Krishna and P Chidambaram BJP leader Dr. Joshi demanded their resignation.He alleged that UPA government is giving shelter to corrupt politician. Meanwhile preparations are in progress for polling in the state.
