In Uttarakhand, state government is going to provide cheap ration for below poverty line (BPL) and above poverty line (APL) families from 1st of next month. As per order released by the secretary food and civil supplies Dilbagh Singh, BPL card holders will get rice for 3 rupees per kilogram with immediate effect against the earlier price of 6.15 rupees per kilogram . Similarly wheat will now be available for 2 rupees per kilograms at public distribution shops for BPL card holders. Earlier they had to pay 4.65 rupees for one kilograms of wheat at PDS shops.
