In Uttarakhand, after the Kanwar Yatra being called off for the second successive year due to COVID pandemic, the elaborate arrangements are being made to check entry of Kanwariyas in Haridwar from neighboring states.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Additional deployment of Police and barricading is being done at the Border Check Posts as well as sub-stretch routes that lead to Haridwar from Uttar Pradesh. Special Police Teams have been formed which are being dispatched to Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana and Punjab to coordinate with the respective State Police Department as well as sensitive about the ban on Kanwar pilgrimage in Uttarakhand. These teams are equipped with pamphlets and posters to inform the neighboring states not to come to Haridwar for the Yatra. According to Police officials, it is being ensured that message is conveyed to neighboring states about Kanwar pilgrimage not being allowed in Uttarakhand this year.</span><br />
