Uttarakhand CM Dhami flags off trek to find historic routes to Char Dham

<span style="color: #222222;">In Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off a 25 member team of young trekkers to trace Centuries-old lost and forgotten Char Dham trekking routes which were used before the existence of motorable roads towards the four shrines of the state.<br />''<br />''The team comprising trekking experts, personal from the state Disaster Response force, and the forest department have started their journey from Rishikesh and are expected to return in 50 days after covering the 12 hundred KM distance.<br />''<br />''The team will search the old trek routes including those which were in use during the winters.<br />''<br />''Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the initiative will help in the conservation of the state's heritage which is centuries old. It will also bring in light the new aspects of the Char Dham pilgrimage. He said that the rediscovery of the route would give a boost to trekking and adventure sports in the state.<br />''<br />''The four Himalayan shrines  Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath are collectively called Char Dham.</span><br />
