It was on this day in 2000, that Uttarakhand was formed, carving out from Uttar Pradesh. On this occasion, various programs are being organized in different parts of the state. Referring to the Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit, which is scheduled to be held in December in Dehradun, President Murmu said that there is enthusiasm among the investors towards this summit. She said that the initiative of the Government to assess the Gross Environmental Product along with the Gross Domestic Product of the state is commendable. The President honored four people with Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman for their outstanding contributions in various fields.</span><br />
