In Uttarakhand, a 19th century wooden Collectorate Building of Nainital has been gutted in fire today following the short circuit. According to District Magistrate Shailesh Bagoli Important records kept in various sections of the building including the registry office were affected by the fire, but there is no casualty in the incident. Property worth crores of rupees is estimated to be destroyed in the incident. He told AIR that a magisterial enquiry has been ordered in the incident.
