In Uttar Pradesh, preparations for November 12 Dev Deepawali festival in Varanasi is in full swing. During this popular festival, 11 lakh earthen Diyas will be lit on the banks of river Ganga. The festival is celebrated on Purnima after Deepawali every year. <br />'' <br />'' This year's festival coincides with Guru Nanak Jayanti. Senior civil and police officials held a meeting for smooth celebration of the event. <br />'' <br />'' AIR correspondent reports, this will be the second occasion in the state when such a large number of earthen Diyas will be lit simultaneously on various banks of Ganga in temple city Kashi. Earlier to this 5 lakh 51 thousand Diyas illuminated Ayodhya and set a world record on Deepawali last week. <br />'' <br />'' This religious event attracts not only people from various parts of the country but a large number of foreigner tourists also assemble here. Expecting huge gathering, elaborate security arrangements are being put in place.  Restarting of Organization of Deep functions like Deepotsav and Dev Deepawali including others at large scale has not only revived the clay- art but has also solved the problem of bread and butter of artisans. <br />''<br />
