Uttar Pradesh, the impasse within the ruling Samajwadi Party continues, with both rival groups adamant on keeping the post of the party Chief.<br/><br/>The party supporters were quite hopeful yesterday that the truce is in sight as rounds of talks took place between the top leadership of both the groups. But, the efforts failed as Naresh Agrawal and Amar Singh made attacks and counter attacks on each other.<br/><br/>Party insiders said, Akhilesh Yadav is not ready to leave the party presidentship which is the foremost demand of his father Mulayam Singh who is adamant to have the Supremo position back.<br/><br/>Our correspondent reports that on Friday, ?Shivpal Singh, Azam Khan and Amar Singh made a beeline to Mulayam's house where Akhilesh also reached and prior to it Shivpal also went to the residence of CM Akhilesh Yadav but of no avail.<br/><br/>Akhilesh is adamant to keep the presidentship of the party at least for three months and said again and again that he will return it to father Mulayam Singh along with the grand win in Assembly polls as a gift. Apart from all these hurdles, some senior party leaders are still hopeful of a compromise coming out shortly.
