<span style="color: #222222;">The Uttar Pradesh Government is very soon going to start an antigen test for identification of COVID patients. It is a test on swab-based nasal samples which gives early results and is very different from the Rapid Antibody Test, which tests blood samples for the presence of antibodies against the virus which causes COVID-19. State has also increased the recovery rate of COVID Patients.<br />''<br />''In the first phase Antigen tests will start in five cities Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Gorakhpur and Kanpur. Later it will be introduced in the districts of western part of the state. These tests will provide early and more accurate results. More than 15 thousand samples of suspected COVID patients were tested in state yesterday and till date around 5.75 lakh samples have been tested. There is an increase in the recovery rate of COVID patients also and with the discharge of 11 thousand 601 patients it has reached 63.31 per cent which is quite higher than the national average. Meanwhile, all District Magistrates and Chief Medical officers in the state have been asked to launch a large scale health screening campaign in the state for identification of COVID patients. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to constitute more than one lakh teams for the health screening of maximum number of persons in the state. To save police personnel from getting infected, the Home Department is sending directives to shift personnel of Provincial Armed constabulary to safer places so that there will be no possibility of COVID infection.</span><br />
