Uttar Pradesh: Elaborate arrangements made for vaccination of people aged over 45 years

The Uttar Pradesh government has made elaborate arrangements for the vaccination of people aged over 45 years from today.<br />''<br />'' Additional chief secretary (health) Amit Mohan Prasad said that on the pattern of focused COVID testing, the state government is also preparing a calendar for focused vaccination.<br />'' <br />''Within one week the government will invite different sections of society such as shopkeepers, rickshaw pullers, drivers, lawyers, media persons and other groups to come for vaccination drive.  He also appealed to those people including frontline health workers who have missed their second dose of COVID vaccination to complete it as early as possible.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">More than 3 lakh health workers and more than 3.5 lakh frontline workers have missed their second dose of COVID vaccination in the state. Around 56 lakh beneficiaries have taken the COVID vaccine in the state. The government has appealed to the people to remain vigilant and strictly follow the COVID protocol even after the vaccination since the corona infection is again on the rise. With 1,230 new COVID patients in the last 24 hours, the state now has 9,848 total active patients.  The state capital Lucknow has 3,138 COVID patients, the highest in the state while Varanasi is second with 550 active COVID-19 patients who are receiving treatment.</span><br />
