The Uttar Pradesh government has made elaborate arrangements for the vaccination of people aged over 45 years from today.<br />''<br />'' Additional chief secretary (health) Amit Mohan Prasad said that on the pattern of focused&nbsp;COVID&nbsp;testing, the state government is also preparing a calendar for focused vaccination.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Within one week the government will invite different sections of society such as shopkeepers, rickshaw pullers, drivers, lawyers, media persons and other groups to come for vaccination drive.&nbsp; He also appealed to those people including frontline health workers who have missed their second dose of&nbsp;COVID&nbsp;vaccination to complete it as early as possible.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">More than 3 lakh health workers and more than 3.5 lakh frontline workers have missed their second dose of&nbsp;COVID&nbsp;vaccination in the state. Around 56 lakh beneficiaries have taken the&nbsp;COVID&nbsp;vaccine in the state. The government has appealed to the people to remain vigilant and strictly follow the&nbsp;COVID&nbsp;protocol even after the vaccination since the corona infection is again on the rise. With 1,230 new&nbsp;COVID&nbsp;patients in the last 24 hours, the state now has 9,848 total active patients.&nbsp; The state capital Lucknow has 3,138&nbsp;COVID&nbsp;patients, the highest in the state while Varanasi is second with 550 active COVID-19 patients who are receiving treatment.</span><br />
