In Uttar Pradesh, the main Independence Day function is being held at the Vidhan Sabha in Lucknow where Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will hoist the Tricolour today. The Vidhan Sabha, Secretariat and other government buildings are illuminated as they have been beautifully decorated in Tricolour since last many days.Our correspondent reports that on the occasion of the Independence Day celebrations, elaborate security arrangements have been made all over the state. Special vigil is being kept in and around the sensitive places like Ayodhya, Varanasi, Mathura and Lucknow. AGD Law & Order Mukul Goel said that 25 companies of CRP and 55 companies of PAC have been deployed all over the state to take care of the security on the special occasion of Independence Day.
