US warns of 'repercussions' for Pak over release of Hafiz Saeed

US has said, there will be repercussions on the bilateral relations with Pakistan if it does not detain Mumbai attack mastermind and LeT Chief Hafiz Saeed and charge him for his crimes. <br/><br/>Saeed was released from house arrest earlier this week by a three-judge panel in Lahore. <br/><br/>In a strongly worded statement, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders described the release as a step in the wrong direction. She said, Pakistan now has an opportunity to demonstrate its seriousness in the fight against terrorism by arresting and charging Saeed for his crimes. <br/><br/>Ms Sanders also said, as President Donald Trump's South Asia policy makes clear, Washington seeks a constructive relationship with Pakistan, but expects decisive action against terrorist groups on Pakistani soil that are a threat to the region. <br/><br/>US Treasury Department had designated Saeed as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist. US, since 2012, has offered 10 million dollar reward for information that brings Saeed to justice.
