The United States says it expects Islamabad to take action against terrorists in sanctuaries inside Pakistan. Deputy Secretary of State John J Sullivan said in Washington that US administration has made clear to the Pakistani government its expectations for them to take action against terrorists that are in sanctuaries in Pakistan and to contribute to a lasting and enduring peace in the region. <br/><br/>He said the US will continue to support its Afghan partners to defeat the ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and other terrorist groups in Afghanistan, and deny them and their affiliates safe haven and material support. Sullivan who recently returned from a visit to Afghanistan said he met with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Chief Executive, Dr Abdullah Abdullah and other government leaders and discussed security cooperation, and the importance of holding timely, credible and inclusive parliamentary and presidential elections with the Afghan leaders.<br/><br/>
