Vice President Joe Biden is meeting Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and President Jalal Talabani and leaders of political parties in Baghdad today in an attempt to diffuse the raw following debarment of more than 500 candidates from taking part in polls. <br/><br/>These candidates have been barred of alleged connection with former President Saddam Hussein’s outlawed Bath party. According to a statement of US mission in Iraq, received by AIR in Dubai, during his visit Mr. Biden will also meet U.S. troops as they prepare for the upcoming elections in the country due in March this year.<br/>
