US unemployment rate record low in 2 yrs

The Unemployment rate in the United States has fallen to its lowest level in two years. The gains in employment for the second month in a row have brought the jobless rate down to a better-than-expected two-year low of 8.8 per cent, one percentage point lower as compared to November last year. The US President Barrack Obama's chief economic adviser says it is encouraging, but as long as millions of people are without work, it is not enough. He said the President must convince the voters that his policies will safeguard their welfare if he is to secure a second term in the White House. A survey released by Gallup indicated that 58 per cent of Americans disapprove of his handling of the economy.
