The United States will launch a dialogue with Myanmar for improving relations but will not ease sanctions and would press for the unconditional release of democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi. Mr Kurt Campbell, the assistant secretary of state for Asia on Monday said that for the first time the Myanmar leadership has shown an interest in engaging with the United States and Washington intend to pursue that interest.
