The United States is to ban laptops and tablets from cabin baggage on flights from eight Middle Eastern and North African countries. The measure would affect nine airlines operating out of 10 airports. The ban will include all large electronic devices such as laptops, tablets cameras, DVD players and electronic games. However, the ban , does not apply to cellphones or medical devices. According to the Us official, the new rule is expected to be announced today by the Department of Homeland Security. Royal Jordanian Airlines and Saudia Airlines confirmed in tweet messages that U.S. transportation authorities had barred carrying larger electronic devices in cabin luggage.
