The United States on Tuesday ordered the departure of all non-emergency US government staff from Egypt amid days of protests against President Hosni Mubarak. The State Department spokesman Philip Crowley said in an announcement that the Department of State will continue to facilitate the evacuation of US citizens who require assistance. He said the departure of all non-emergency US government personnel was ordered Tuesday in light of recent events.
