US support India for permanent UNSC membership, Krishna welcomes the move

External Affairs Minister S M Krishna has welcomed the statement made in US Parliament by President Barrack Obama that they support India for a permanent membership of UN Security Council. Speaking to reporters in Mandya, Karnataka today, Krishna noted that US support has enormously strengthened India’s candidature to gain the Permanent seat at the UNSC. Reacting on the issue of rejection of visa to Pakistan former President Parvez Musharaff, S M Krishna felt that under the prevailing circumstances it was felt unviable to extend Visa. On 26/11 incident, Krishna pointed out that dossiers sent by India to Pakistan with documentary evidence clearly shows the nexus of terrorists with ISI with whose support the Mumbai attacks were carried out.
