Also weighing on stocks were concerns about protectionist trade policies planned by US President-elect Donald Trump. So the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 59 points, or 0.3 percent, to close at 19,827. The S&P 500 lost 7 points, or 0.3 percent, to 2,268. And the Nasdaq Composite dropped 35 points, or 0.6 percent, to 5,539.
