US Secretary of State, John Kerry today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed bilateral, regional and global issues of importance. The meeting is significant as it will create the ground for Modi's first visit to the US in September.
Yesterday, Kerry had said that the US will take a series of steps in the coming weeks, to pave the way for the visit. The meeting came a day after Kerry and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj co-chaired the 5th India-US Strategic Dialogue. Secretary Kerry is on a three-day visit to India which began on Wednesday.
