US and Russia have agreed to continue to work towards a diplomatic solution to achieve a denuclearized Korean peninsula. <br/><br/>US State Department in a statement said, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke over phone to discuss concerns related to North Korea's destabilizing nuclear programme and emphasized that neither the United States nor Russia accepts Pyongyang as a nuclear power. <br/><br/>The US Treasury Department had imposed sanctions on two North Korean officials for their role in Pyongyang's ballistic missile program.
