US Defence Secretary James Mattis said that the coalition is leading a comprehensive international campaign to deny the IS a geographic haven, eliminate its ability to operate externally and eradicate their ability to recruit and finance terrorist operations.<br/><br/>He said the US has fought the IS elements from Southeast Asia to Africa. Mr Mattis said from the Philippines to Europe and beyond, while the IS remained dangerous, they are no longer carrying an air of strength.
