The US has released a video recording which shows Lashkar-e-Taiba operative David Headley approached ISI to help another co-accused in Mumbai attacks Tahawwur Rana to get back to Pakistan. Rana, a Pak Army deserter, was wanted by Police in Pakistan. In the video, which was shown before a Chicago court, Rana said he thoughtLashkar-e-Toiba does not know Headley is with the ISI. Deposing before the Court during the 26/11 trial, FBI agent Jeffrey Parsons said Headley used his personal links to favour Rana. Parsons said, Rana confessed his meeting with HuJI Chief Ilyas Kashmiri during his interrogation by the FBI. Final arguments in the case will take place today and the verdict may come as early as tomorrow.Rana was indicted by a federal grand jury under 12 counts on February 15 last year for planning out the Mumbai attacks, providing material support to LeT to carry out the bombings and guiding Headley in scouting targets in Mumbai in the process.
