US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said the United States is ready to help Britain and Argentina resolve their dispute over the Falkland Islands.<br/><br/>Talking to reporters en route to Buenos Aires last night, Clinton agreed on the need for talks between the countries, but did not spell out what role the US would play in any discourse. <br/><br/>However, she said the raw should be resolved between the two, but if US can be of any help in facilitating such an effort, it stands ready to do so. Mrs. Clinton met Argentine president Cristina Fern’ndez de Kirchner in Montevideo, Uruguay, yesterday, before flying to Buenos Aires for further talks today.<br/><br/>The US remained neutral when Argentina invaded the Falklands in 1982, and has stayed impartial ever since. Tensions between Argentina and the UK have flared in recent weeks over Britain's oil exploration in the islands' waters.<br/>
