US ready to assist India to bring 26/11 perpetrators to justice

The United States has said it is committed in assisting India to bring the perpetrators of the 2008 Mumbai terror attack to justice.<br/><br/>The assurance comes after the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative David Headley told a special Mumbai Court court that Pakistani terrorists conducted the strikes after two failed attempts.<br/><br/>The US State Department Spokesman John Kirby told reporters that the US will do all it can to assist the government of India in pursuing every possible lead to bring to justice those responsible for the 2008 Mumbai attacks.<br/><br/>It's indicative of a close relationship with India not only in law enforcement, but across all other domains as well, Kirby added.<br/>Headley, who is serving 35-year prison sentence in the US for his involvement in the Mumbai attacks is presently being questioned by the Mumbai court via video-conferencing.
