<br/>US President Barack Obama and Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani have greeted the people of India on the Republic Day. In his message, Obama said India and the US have a strong shared belief in the values of liberty, pluralism and religious tolerance.<br/><br/>In a message to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Gillani said Pakistan is committed to resolving all outstanding issues with India and developing friendly relations on the basis of "mutual respect, equality and commonality of interest".
