Fierce Presidential campaigns continue in the United States ahead of Election Day on Tuesday next week. Nationwide opinion polls showed support for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton at 47 percent on average, while her Republican rival Donald Trump has 45.3 percent. The difference has narrowed to only 1.7 percentage points. Opinion surveys are forecasting close contests in 10 states.
In a speech in the state of Florida, Donald Trump made a reference to the reopening of an FBI inquiry into Clinton's use of a private email server for government work, while she was secretary of state. He stressed she should not be allowed to run as a presidential candidate. President Barack Obama also delivered an address in Florida to rally support for Clinton. He said Trump is uniquely unqualified to be president and temperamentally unfit to be commander-in-chief. Obama plans to pitch his last appeal with Clinton in the eastern state of Pennsylvania on Monday, the last day of campaigning.
Meanwhile, WikiLeaks unlocked for the second time yesterday its trove of sensitive emails from the account of Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman, John Podesta. It comes hours after the US State Department's release of 1,240 additional pages related to Clinton's correspondence.
