A United States paratrooper who fought in Afghanistan has become the first living soldiers since the Vietnam War who has been awarded the Medal of Honor, America's highest military decoration. President Barack Obama presented the Award to Staff Sgt Salvatore Giunta at the White House. Staff Sgt. Salvatore Giunta braved enemy fire to rescue two comrades taken prisoner by Taliban fighters in 2007.
